The MF7260P Ethernet to fiber optic media converter is designed to convert Ethernet signals of up to 1 Gbps into 1G fiber, providing a straightforward and cost-effective copper to fiber solution. This converter supports 10/100/1000Base-T to 1000Base-X protocols.
This 2-port PoE fiber media converter features one RJ-45 connector with MDI/MDI-X support for straight-through and crossover cables. It facilitates transmission speeds of 10/100/1000 Mbps over Cat5/Cat6 twisted-pair cables, typically reaching up to 100 meters in length.
Equipped with one hot-swappable fiber port, the SFP media converter supports interchangeable duplex or simplex 100Base and 1000Base fiber optic SFP modules (sold separately), allowing customization of fiber type, distance, and connectors. It utilizes a high-performance Store and Forward mechanism and IEEE 802.3x flow control (full duplex) to minimize packet loss.
The MF7260P operates over multimode or single-mode fiber across various link budgets without requiring in-field adjustments. It is designed to function in a wide temperature range of -40°C to 80°C. LED indicators facilitate monitoring and diagnosing network activity, making installation and troubleshooting straightforward.
The gigabit ethernet fiber media converter includes 4KV Ethernet surge protection, ensuring reliability in harsh environments. With exceptional longevity, a lifetime warranty, and free unlimited technical support, Versitron's M7260P fiber-to-copper media converter with PoE is an ideal choice for IT professionals.
Applications of PoE Fiber Media Converter:
Networks using Ethernet devices such as network cameras, access control, intercoms, wireless PoE access points or IEEE 802.3at PoE+ splitters, along with non-PoE compliant Internet cameras, in locations where power outlets are difficult to find.
Enable flexible installation of security IP cameras, wireless access points, and other IEEE 802.3at-compliant network equipment in public areas, such as stations or freeways, to meet surveillance needs.
Facilitate the creation of wireless roaming environments on campuses or at airports.
